New Ceiling Fan Installation Terms and Conditions
What’s included:

Assembly of the new fan

Standard installation of new ceiling fan

Installation of fan switch

Installation of timber in your roof space to support the weight of the fan

Pairing of the fan remote if applicable

Clean up of the installation area

Demonstration of how to use your new fan

Electrical safety compliance certificate

Patching/painting of any holes made for the installation

Installation of ceiling fan into a ceiling rose – please email us at admin@faninstall.com.au

Installation of wall switch on solid brick/cement walls. This may incur additional charge.

Installation of wall switch on a door architrave. This is not always possible.
-
High ceilings above 3m may incur additional charges. Please let us know before booking if your ceilings are above 3m as we may need special equipment to install your fan.

Alternations to your switchboard. If your switchboard requires a safety switch (RCBO) or any alternations to make it safe and compliant, you will be notified.
Your responsibilities:

To be home at the time of your booking. If the electrician is unable to access the site or is kept waiting, you may be charged a call our fee of $100 incl GST.

We rely on the information that you have provided. You may be liable for additional costs if the information you have presented us with is inaccurate.

The product must be suitable and approved for installation in Australia. If you’re unsure about your products suitability please contact us prior to booking.
-
The fan must be on site prior to our arrival.
-
You must ensure that the site is safe and accessible for the electrician to attend and install the product.
-
You confirm that you are the homeowner or that you have authority for the works to be undertaken.
-
If you have any complaints with the installation, you must allow us access to inspect and/or repair.
-
Your ceilings must be free of asbestos.
Like for Like Ceiling Fan Replacement Terms and Conditions
What’s included:

Disconnected and removal of the existing ceiling fan
-
Assembly of new ceiling fan
-
Standard installation of new ceiling fan
-
Installation of wall switch provided in the fan box
-
Pairing of the fan remote if applicable
-
Clean-up of installation area
-
‘Like for Like’ ceiling fan replacement means the new fan and the switch must be installed in the same location as the existing fan, using the same wiring/connections.

Alternations to your switchboard. If your switchboard requires a safety switch (RCBO) or any alternations to make it safe and compliant, you will be notified.

Installing additional timber support in the roof if the existing timber is not sufficient for the new fan. This can occur when the new fan is significantly heavier than the existing fan.

Installing the new fan in a different location. This may be possible while still using the existing wiring, but additional charges may apply.

​Payment
​

A 30% deposit is to be paid at the time of placing the booking.
-
The balance of the job is to be paid upon completion of the job. We accept EFT, Credit card and cash.
-
Any additional costs will be discussed before proceeding with the job.
